Drawing a karyogram online of the CyDAS online application package is a useful tool to check the formal correctness of an ISCN karyotype and to visualise the chromosomal aberrations in a schematic karyogram. This allows for the direct comparison of the findings of the chromosome banding analysis with the changes described in the karyotype. Different adjustments e.g. banding resolution, color style or the sequence of the chromosomes can be selected prior to analysis. The CyDAS software will then compute an image map containing the ideograms of all derivative and non-derivative chromosomes of the karyotype, with links to the NCBI or Ensembl map viewer.
Just paste your ISCN karyotype of a single clone into the datafield on the CyDAS website.
