Prof.Dr. M.C. Béné (Nancy, France): Involved in leukemia immunophenotyping. Manager of the French group GEIL (Groupe d'Etude Immunologique des Leucémies). This group, which currently interacts with medical staff involved in the immunophenotyping of leukemias from over 50 French and Belgian centers and has developed contacts with two Romanian centers, meets twice a year on a regular basis, initiates and develops collaborative projects and has organized three international meetings in 1984, 1994 and 2002. Council member and Chair of the Biology Commission of the therapeutic group GOELAMS (Groupe Ouest Est des Leucémies et autres Maladies du Sang), council member of the therapeutic group GRAALL (Group for Research in Adult Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia).
